About Us

Crown Hotel

The Crown Hotel is a Free-house purchased from J W Lees and has been run by Brian and Mel since 22nd Feb 2013. They have owned the pub since 2014 making it a Free-house giving us the ability to retain prices as low as possible. The Crown was refurbished inside with Mel as the interior designer buying quirky tables and chairs to match the surroundings.

New Management

The Crown Hotel is under new Management from June 2018 the whole pub will be managed by Ant and Becky.  Anthony was previously the head chef at the Crown in 2017 and has returned to take the helm.  Becky Ants wife has also worked within the Crown since 2017 and has served at front of house in several hospitality positions.  Ant and Becky will be moving their family in to the Crown and taking the Crown to the next level.  We are here to support them in the background but have to retire from working at the Crown due to ill health.

Brian and Mel wish the new management team well and hope to socialise on the other side of the bar in the future.
